My very last roll. So with heavy heart I'm loading it into the Mamiya and taking off with my "Peterbuilt" into the heavy fog of Vancouver, and hopefully finding good light in the mountains around us.( Thank goodness we still have Fuji.). Peter

I traded all my old slide film last year for a few cups of coffee and a beer. After working at a lab which got rid of its E-6 processing and knowing the ins and outs of the machines, i just couldn't find anyone locally I trusted to develop the film. Lab QC just isn't there anymore, unfortunately. There are a very select few labs in the US that will still do a good job on E-6. A few on the west coast, Dwayne's in the midwest and a few on the east coast. The independents who still offer E-6 have, more often than not, returned film with scratches, stains even wrinkles in the base. It's really sad because I loved Velvia and Ektachrome.

Or even C-41 for that matter. I had a lab in London that returned 3 out of 60 rolls badly damaged, one of them with a rip through the emulsion.

Very sad.

I'm buying them! PM sent. They'll be in my freezer and I'll post a few back to you in case of sellers remorse. 😉

Cheers,
Rob

One roll of E100G and three rolls of Fuji Astia 100 left...
🙁🙁🙁

Selling nine rolls of expired Agfachrome 1000RS in the Classifieds though. Maybe I shouldn't...

I have 20 rolls of E100VS in 135 and about that many in 120 - they are earmarked for a big roadtrip up the left coast (AZ to CA to OR, and back) in June 2014 -- after that, it's all B&W for me 🙁😡

Well ,you gotta love the irony in this. Amazing fog, ocean ,mountains and not 1/4 mile from home in this fog I come across black ice approaching a downhill intersection, yep, me and the "Peterbuilt" made intimate contact with the pavement! OUCH! I did however have the presence of mind to reach out and prevent myself from rolling, all my gear was in a Lowepro backpack. Sang the blues to myself for being soooooo stupid ( it was early and cold) . But,and this was a twisted highlight, other than a now stiff knee,I was able to erect the beast and made it another 100 or so miles into the mountains. I sure hope those pics turn out, or this'll be a bit of a bummer. That bike is way more crash resistant than I'd ever imagined!!! Peter

I'm going to get it develped here in Vancouver at ABC Photocolour. Always great work and good turn around. I have in fact used an E6 Arista kit and the results were fabulous,
however, the time involved has me returning to ABC. But then I live in the city and it's pretty easy just to drop it off . Peter
