Thanks, John (jcmd). "Portraits" made with Fuji J10 P&S on macro mode. Industar-26 is the lens.

Here is a shot, on Ferrania 100, made with the FED, f2.8, 1/125 or so:

Those lens hoods suit it down to the ground, don't they?

They sure do, David.
I think the bright-finish I-26 with focus tab is one of the most handsome lenses around. The hood suits it like a black fedora ...

Hi Paul - did you get that lens hood from ebay? I have seen a few 'vented' hoods around but I couldn't be certain which to pick. Do you find it interferes with your view through the finder? You can already see the edge of the I-61 through the rangefinder of my FED-2 and I'm worried about sticking anything on the end of it which would interfere even more with the framing.

I got a vented hood from heavystars on ebay. It cuts off a little bit of the lower right hand edge of the viewfinder but not enough to cause a problem.

Beautiful camera Paul. It's just like the one I have with the strap lugs & self timer. Mine is experiencing a minor glitch right now so I loaded my Zorki 2c with some BW400CN & plan to carry it around this week. Seeing all those Barnacks over on the Leica thread got me itching. Hope some others will jump on in!

Thanks, Greg.
Yes, the hood cuts a little off. It is not from heavystar; I don't remember which company it was. Sorry.

Those hoods are all over ebay but at widely different prices. I've bought one or two to use and in the hope that one would turn up without the "For Leica... " on it in white printing. As for blocking the view-finder, the only answer to that is to use a very small thin lens and I don't think they exist. It's a good thing they don't block the RF's view.
