Just waiting for the new year to arrive...2 hours to go here...Sitting around watching TV...brother-in-law and fiance are here...spent the last two days working on a camera that was officially declared DOA this evening...oh well now I have a parts camera.

After the large rain/freezing hail storm we had last night, it would be suicidal to be out tonight so I stayed home, had a quiet night and although it's hard to believe, bought another SLR (blasphemy) and two T mounts (so far with another 4 or 5 to go tomorrow). Silly season must be starting as I've decided to buy T and TX mounts for a few of the SLR systems I use. My one resolution this year is to buy only good glass for my SLR's, only Retinas, Tarons and Kievs for my RF's, and only T and TX mounts instead of any more Tamrons. Let's see how long this lasts, lol. Have a safe and Happy New Year everyone. I hope to read you all again soon. Your friend, Curt.

Wife and I drove 25mi to the neighboring town for an excellent salmon dinner with a glass of Huckleberry Riesling from Latah Creek winery.
We were a bit surprised to find it snowing lightly as we got into the vehicle, and then heavier partway there. Poor visability, slippery wet snow on the road, some others driving too fast... But it was better on the way back, must have warmed a little.
Curt, and others, good luck with your resolve for the New Year! I am actively shopping for one of the new Zeiss Biogon 25mm f/2.8 lenses. I don't see any online sources listing this item for sale though...
