Cool, when my wife asks why I have 8 cameras. 3 of which aren't working, I can just point to this thread.

"Look honey, see, I'm not so bad. I have a very modest collection" As I point at Bill's stash-O-cameras.

I'm not sure I like being a bad example, but I guess it's true. However, we did a listing of cameras here once - I did NOT have the most. I just have a lot. Mostly broken.

Basically I am envious, I want them all. Just can't have them all, or even store them all.

Well I haven't made any ebay purchases in over a week, and other than the cold sweats, nausea, double vision and shakes...I'm doing OK. Actually, I'm saving my weekly stash of cash to make a purchase.... 😀
GMan was kind enough to send me the picture of his collection he posted which I printed last night and put on the refrigerator with all the pictures of our kids and such.
SO, the wife comes out this morning see it and goes, "what the hell is this?", and I said "see there are others just like me, many who have G.A.S. much worse than I do! All we want is to be loved and repected just like any normal person in....THWACK!

I don't remember much after that, when I woke up on the kitchen floor, her coffee cup was laying next to me, with the picture torn in little bits around me.... 🙁

maybe I should have told her what G.A.S. stands for first!

Oh, my wife has her cross stitch stuff. Along with boxes and boxes of "floss" and "charts" and "linens." She has her own forums that she visits as often as I visit here.

She even tries to tell me that "cameras are so much more expensive." But when I see how much some of the charts list for on eboy and the incredible size of her "stash," I know it isn't true.

Her fellow stitchers are just as bad as us, collecting, comparing, sharing and buying.

So, I don't think I would get whacked for my hobby. All I have to do is point at the incredibly organized stacks of archival boxes she has for her hobby. Then I get whacked. 😉

One thing I've found out is that I never, never, NEVER point out anything that she does as a defense for what I do (I've got the lumps to prove it)! 🙄
