You're right on ... it was vintage so consequently very relaxed with no big egos out there just guys having fun.
My barber started racing when he was a kid and still races now in his late forties. Out of high school he lived his dream of being a sponsored pro that traveled around the country for several seasons. He told me about his previous approach to racing (ego, aggressive, etc.) and how he occasionally he gets thrown into an open age group where young whipper snappers do to him as he used to do unto others.

I considered getting a high-vis vest with "CAUTION PHOTOGRAPHER" on the back, I imagine no one would notice me then ... never got round to it, as with most things
