I have a Tom Abrahamsson Rapid Winder and Rapid Grip that I used to use. It made my M so heavy that it felt like a brick around my neck so I stopped using it. Nowadays, the only accessory I have on my M is the Leica made grip. It helps me out immensely (I have hand problems) and it is nice and lightweight.

I use a Really Right Stuff base plate when I need to put my M on a tripod since I have the RRS quick release plate on my tripod head.
For handheld photography though, I prefer to keep my M as light and nimble as possible.

Does anyone use the STRAP from Leica Goodies? I've always wanted to carry my camera across my chest, as this seems like one of the most comfortable ways to carry a camera, but I am worry about using only one of the lugs to support the weight of the camera. I've heard of lugs coming loose after years of use, is this something to worry about?

Yes, my strap lug fell out of my M6. If you go for one lug, keep an eye on it.

Just a worn out lady bird softie from Map Camera on my M2. Sometimes I think something to help me rewind would be good. . .

Picked up a nice VIOOH finder at the local camera store for pocket change...just could not resist as it looks cool on the M3... and the X1!:p

I voted for all the weird and cool accessories I can find even if it just for display in my current project...my Leica cave.:p Looking for anything!

It helps if they are beautiful and ultimately useful as well.;)

The latest VIOOH finder and the MR4 meter are two that come to mind and I love those!

Accessories for the M?

- Tripod adapter plate
- cable release
- A&A Half Case
- Street Strap
- 21mm viewfinder (for the 21mm lens)
- 1.25x viewfinder magnifier (for 50-135mm lenses)

That's it, that's what I use, aside from a couple of lenses, batteries, and memory cards. Oh, I have a couple of filters too.

i love the artisan and artist, it's the best fit half case i ever had on any camera, i almost forget it's there. i dont really use a hood, this is just for reference. this setup will be finished when i can get my hands on a heavystar focus tab.

Actually, I just accessorized the Brompton ... and I don't even have it yet! ;-) I ordered:

- new bicycle helmet
- battery lighting kit
- front-mounted basket
- Bromfoot2 (little gizmo for the folding left pedal that makes it the same size as the right pedal)
