Canada Thoughts on the next Toronto RFF Gathering

I had a good time and a couple of good beers. Gene, now you have to tell me where I can get that Old Credit canned or better bottled :) There were quite a few interesting photo albums as well as usual gear. Got a GAS bump while holding an excellent Leica M2, frankly speaking I found RF path of M2 as good as one on my Kiev 4, and generally much more brighter viewfinder. Thanks everyone who was there and was tollerant to my SLR gear :)

Eduard.

Here's three more.
1st -- Cameras and coffee (Delta 3200)
2nd -- Gaggle of photogs (Delta 3200)
3rd -- Shooting (Maco UP25+)

one decent photo from the Kiev

one decent photo from the Kiev

My 400 asa was a little too fast for the light by the water so we'll have to wait for the pan F 50 shots from the Contax

I did get one decent interior shot from today of Gene and Earl, Kiev III, Jupiter 8 with Agfa Silvertone 400 dilution B at 1/30 of a second.

"UB" that's a nice shot for a 30th ! Gene seems to be in good spirits. I dropped by at his place around 5.00 after the RFF meeting broke up.

Peter, Bill, nice shots! Jan, it was good to see you (Jan dropped by The Harp later in the day but we had disbursed by then)

We all enjoyed your Nikon FM3a Eduard. We don't limit GAS to just rangefinders :D

I don't know how widely distributed Old Credit is, but you'll find it in the Beer Store and LCBO in the Mississauga area. Or you can pick it up directly from the brewery on Mississauga Rd near Lakeshore, walking distance from where we were at the harbour.

A most enjoyable event. Thanks to Gene, Bill et all for organising it. Nice to see shots posted so soon. Don’t know what I will have to add, & it’ll take a while before I can get to it, unfortunately.

It was a wonderful day! I have some TX (Oly 35SP, 400 inside, and with yellow-green filter outside) that needs souping, plus some APX 100 that I have in the Konica C35. I'm going to investigate borrowing a private darkroom or maybe using the community co-op darkroom to get both rolls, plus a huge backlog done, this week.

Just one more comment on Guy's M2 ... there were multiple exclamations of "holy crap!", "holy sh#%!!!" etc, with Dave the instigator. Guy snagged a pristine, likely never used M2 from Henry's. It needed a CLA as the lubrication was, in the words of the technician, "the consistency of fudge". But man, the patch was AMAZING, and Dave is now a ruined man ... again! :D

Yes.. yet again I am ruined.. thanks to Guy's M2.. So I may hunt for one in the near future :)

Plus it has all the frame lines I would want :)

Now.. I have to get the video done at some point soon.. thanks a lot for the conversation and the drinks guys. And Bill, thanks for relating your personal story to me and helping me understand how to cope :)

Cheers
Dave

Damn I missed it.....but I had some consolation; we won the damn baseball tournament! At least I got some team pics with the M3 (no guaranty of quality though, the wife took them.)

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't make it this time...but it sounds for the best...the last thing I need to see is a mint+ M2!

Another three pics.
1 -- Guy, Eduard, Dave.
2 -- Earl and Gene study photos.
3 -- (for Frank :D ) Nancy, Dave, Bill.

I must knew you're bad :) I beg a pardon, some more SLR pic. This is taken by what you guys call a pancake and me calls it Tessar Nikkor AI-P 45/1:2.8. Just some fuel to the GAS :)
Eduard.

A few more trickling in from last Saturday's meet. This is some col film I had developed today and scanned to CD. PC Brand ISO100 (prob Fuji). Taken with my IIIf and CV 35/2.5 Skopar. I haven't developed my B&W yet.

1. Dave & Nancy
2. Earl (Trius) leading the way (with Eduard, Guy, Uncle Bill and PeterC in the background)
3. The boater who asked if I was using a Leica, then gave me a thumbs up when I said 'yes'!
