thread about light, instead of gear...

i don't see w/nw threads as a place for feedback either, not that it can't happen there.

maybe start a thread that says 'w/nw feedback requested' for shots that you want feedback on. then everyone knows the expectations.

ray, 'someone like you' ?
is that a good thing?

joe

Of course, it is, Joe.

Perhaps a Crit type version of w/nw (that would be just 'w' by definition)?

Any THIS is a greaaat discussion over beers at our upcoming meeting. 😉

MMmmmm....Beer...... I will bring a Hasselblad with a polaroid back and we can always entertain ourselves with taking across-the-table-photos with it and make sure everyone gets a polaroid to-go 🙂

Oh, my...Rich, you da' man! 🙂

You folks humble and almost scare me with the images in this post (funny how, on this site at least, threads that look "hopeless" at the start end up quite fascinating?). It's all about the light, and the images in this thread showcase that without a thread of doubt.

I guess I didn't see this as a wnw thread. Rather just some images and chatter around a general theme. I don't know why all this needs to be pigeonholed and beat to death. Really, it's just a thread.

And Ray, I regularly peruse the gallery and leave comments. I do enjoy seeing people's different takes on a specific topic, and people can comment, criticize or whatever they want about the images.

Am I the only one who finds it weird that someone would complain about the existance of this gorgeous thread?

Except in rare instances, photographs are much more powerful with a few accompanying words explaining their context. And Light itself is well worth talking about ... In Western and Middle Eastern tradition, it is God's first creation. Combinating the properties of both energy and matter, it is the very essence of our existance.
