More cameras than shots
I read a thread a while ago called "Extraordinary street photography" in Frank Jackson's sub-forum but it seems to have vanished. I actually managed to find it again via Google, which has page 4 cached. The thread number is 147441, cached page below:

Any idea where it's gone?

The poster who started the thread deleted his initial post. That takes the entire thread with it.

Shame, there were some good pictures there and I thought it was interesting, as I'm not really into street photography. Thanks for the info!

And why is that? Someone asks where is a thread and you reinstate it?
You could at least have the delicacy to not include my posts.
If I delete my thread, I would appreciate that it stays deleted.
IMHO thread deletion should be enabled only for mods/admins, or upon request by the topic starter, if the mods/admins agree that such deletion would be innocuous.

The thread deletion thing is discussed since whenever - I'm with you, splitimageview, but it seems the powers that be don't agree with us. I find it extremely rude to delete a thread were other people participated in. In stead of deleting "your" thread, you could simply empty your opening post - problem solved.

Thanks for bring this back. Ned, I don't know what your beef is with the thread but they're your pictures to remove, it would be a shame to bin the whole thread though as there was (is) some really good stuff in there. it took me ages to figure out the second last one on the first page (airfrogusmc's) before I saw it.
