Threaded view in forum topics

I've just noticed - as of yesterday - that there's a new thread view when responding to topics. I no longer see the previous posts, but rather just the last one in the thread. I can see the advantage of this, but is there a way to change the 'default' thread view type (I prefer 'hybrid')?
