This lens is silver so brass barrel and rings = heavy.

To supplement that, there are at least four variations on the physical mount.

1. Black anodized aluminum/brass (similar to most modern Leica lenses) - relatively lightweight compared to the next three, which are built on an all-brass mount:

3. Silver chrome (chrome plating, not silver paint)
4. Titanium (plating? not sure)

My 3 are 35 lux asph, 50 cron, 75 cron aa. The Zeiss 21 f/4.5 looks good…
