I photographed these barns from Interstate 469, Fort Wayne's ring road, on July 24. The farm is located just east of the city.

I shot this with a Hasselblad with the 150mm CF-Sonnar with a cheap Vivitar 2x teleconverter that I bought on ebay for $50 a couple years ago. Shot at f22 marked on the lens, effective f45 (the teleconverter loses two stops of speed). Not as sharp as the 150 by itself, but still quite good!

Bit of trivia: The length of an official American flag is 1.9 times the height. The flag on the barn is way too short for an American flag. Most availablle flags are too short, whether from a retail store or an actual flag manufacturing company. It saves material, I guess. Don't say it doesn't matter. It is a pleasure to see an official size flag flow and ripple in the breeze. The short ones just flap.
By the way, about as long as I can remember, everybody sold 3X5 foot flags--too short. Home Depot now has 3X6 foot flags--closer to official.

Thanks everyone. Spav, I didn't know the exact dimensions the flag is supposed to be, but this one did look funny to me, because the area with the stars is almost square, and it should be more rectangular. Oh well, the farmer got his point across anyway, I doubt many drivers on the highway were stopping to measure it!
