Hi Chaps,

I posted three more pictures from the M Monochrom over on my blog http://www.pgrant.co.uk/

I am really enjoying the Monochrom experience, it really forces you to concentrate on capturing the photograph, by simplifying the technical aspects to the fundamentals.

Love to know what you think, specifically what you don't like and why.

I like your blog very much. The MM pics are a good demo for this camera but I must say the M6 pics grabbed me more (just down to composition and overall look and feel). But obviously you had the M6 years and the MM for days so to be expected
carry on posting!
 
When I get a new camera I go backwards for a bit, although not with the X100, which offered so many more possibilities than the film Ms I was using. Certainly the M9 sent me backwards for a while until I relaxed and started ignoring the camera and looking again. I like how you are not striving to exhibit the unique characteristics of the images possible with the Monochrom. That will just come in certain shots and be difficult to evince in others and never mind.

Thanks for your kind words about my blog.

Yes, I agree, my M6 images (in fact all of my portfolio http://www.pgrant.co.uk/portfolio images are taken on the M6). I very much agree with you, I have a way to go with the MM, but thats more from me shooting more and finding the luck and shots.

Hi Richard, Your right, I can't please everyone! I never bought this camera to highlight its quality and/or flaws.

It sounds like you experienced the same as me when shifting from the X100 to a digital M. I look forward to sharing more images as I create them (as long as they are any good!)
 
Congrates on getting a MM. Enjoyed vicariously your transition from film to digital as I await a delivery of a M9M.

I'll continue to shoot film also, but I doubt I will be able to transition as smoothly as you.
