Amazing... just amazing. Three Perkeo III E rangefinders (6X6) with coupled action, film count and stop and Color Skopar lens are on eBay right now. Two closing today, and one closed yesterday for $611. One closed about 4 days ago also for about $300.

Search Perkeo E... or IIIE to find them. The last two close in 2 and 6 hours.

I have never seen this many of the final Perkeos with the coupled rangefinder listed at once. They usually come up about one every two months or so.

I have a color skopar Perkeo one (not often found with that lens) and it is the smallest and one of the best image quality 120 6X6 cameras I have owned. No rangefinder, but I use a shoe mount range finder.

I thought the range-finder in the Perkeo IIIe was uncoupled. Seem to be nice cameras though and you're right, there aren't many IIIe's out there.

Ooops... I think you are right on uncoupled.

I think I am thinking of my Mamiya's

Kuzano,

I agree with you regarding the Color Skopar. It is a 4/3 Tessar design and one of the best lenses I have ever used. I am trying to get a Perkeo II for its auto film stop, save having to look at the rear window which may be a pain in the dark!

film count? Are you really sure? I don't believe. Only the II has it-

Windscale: I have 2 IIs, will keep only one. Contact me if interested.

I had both the Perkeo II and the E model. Sold the E and kept the Perkeo II, mainly for its auto-stop winder.

The Perkeo E looses automatic wind stop and film counter features to make room for an uncoupled RF in its top housing. It is has a Color Skopar fitted within a Prontor SV shutter body versus the Compur Synchro on most Perkeo II models. With regard to the uncoupled RF, I much prefer the Voigtlander accessory finder to the built-in version of the Perkeo E.

Wow, surely those prices are a little crazy? I just got a Perkeo E, and I love it - but I paid a good deal less than any of those prices from a reputable dealer for a copy with a recent service and six months guarantee. Even £200 seems pretty steep, let alone the £300+ that two of those fetched.

I was lucky enough to get a IIIE on Ebay awhile back in mint condition. I think I paid about $125.00 for it. I sent it to Certo 6 for a CLA and he sent me a mail drooling over the scarcity of the camera and the condition also. Said he had never seen one so clean. I love the camera and it rates right next to my Certo 6 camera and my Nettar. As I mentioned here before, the Nettar is a gem often overlooked because it sells for such a low price. Want to get into folders? Get a Nettar!
