First time after two years (and shutter repair by Mr Enzmann), I was able to take my 1936 Contax II with its four lenses on a trip to Lübeck and Dresden. Lenses were the Sonnars 1.5/5 cm, 2/8.5 cm, and 4/13.5 cm, plus the Biogon T 2.8/3.5 cm. Just thought I'd share some of the results.

First two shots: St. Mary's, Lübeck; Sonnar 1.5/5 (1936) - third and fourth shot: Our Lady (Frauenkirche), Dresden; Biogon T 2.8/3.5 (1942) - last shot: Mom, Dresden; Sonnar 2/8.5 (1936).

Films were Fuji Neopan 1600 pushed by one stop for indoors and night shots, and Agfacolor 200 for the rest.

To me it's just amazing how these lenses are still performing today.

For the Contax II body, of course, Dresden was a sentimental journey home after 70 years...
