In my opinion it works but the sky is too clear and you don't have real blacks. Did you selected all the histogram during the scan ?

I like the title; but cannot see three widows.
Strange.
But I like the photo anyway.

Yes it works
Yes it works
I do see blacks and whites and greys and shades in between.
Looking for them made the image interesting as I began to see what was where.

To me, the composition is a bit unbalanced. The chimney sort of weighing-down the photo to the right-side. There's nothing on the left side to balance it.
Tonality-wise, I think it's pleasant to look at, the highlights are not distracting, and the shadows looks fine on my LCD monitor.
Thanks for sharing.

I like the title. Either way. Windows or Widows. And I like the photo. I agree the sky could use some detail, but I think the chimney, and overall balance of the composition is fine. It's interesting.

Good subject for B&W. I like the textures on the wall, roof & especially the chimney.

I'm still trying to figure out what a "phalanx symbol" is.

With a sligtly grey sky it would be better because the white sky attracts the eye and distract from the real subject, the wall, the wi
dows, the chimney...
