Does this work, Yes or no?

In my opinion it works but the sky is too clear and you don't have real blacks. Did you selected all the histogram during the scan ?

Sorry for my english, it is not my native language ;)

I have a chimney shot with a few extra windows...you can borrow a couple if you'd like. ;)

Yes it works

Yes it works

I do see blacks and whites and greys and shades in between.

Looking for them made the image interesting as I began to see what was where.

To me, the composition is a bit unbalanced. The chimney sort of weighing-down the photo to the right-side. There's nothing on the left side to balance it.

Tonality-wise, I think it's pleasant to look at, the highlights are not distracting, and the shadows looks fine on my LCD monitor.

Thanks for sharing.

I like the title. Either way. Windows or Widows. And I like the photo. I agree the sky could use some detail, but I think the chimney, and overall balance of the composition is fine. It's interesting.

With a sligtly grey sky it would be better because the white sky attracts the eye and distract from the real subject, the wall, the wi(n)dows, the chimney...
