Thumbs Up received!

A different Thinking-The French Velcro type !

Hi Leica Users. I had done a thumb holder with a different thinking, using the French invention VELCRO (velours-crochet). Mine is adjustable, removable, and is somewhat flexible, which means that in case of choc, it will not bend the Flash shoe. I like the Thumbs-up too, just a different approach. Joan

I received my Thumbs Up modlel-3 today as well. Since I already had the Leica grip, I figured it would be the ultimate in ergonomics. Surprisingly, I found the combination to be a paradox. While it certainly made for a handful, it actually strains the hand when I reach my index finger to squeeze the shutter release. So after hours of manipulating and switching back and forth with the Leica grip, the end result is that you can go either way! I will likely just use the Thumbs Up and chalk up the Leica grip as a very good alternative for some.
Regards,

I bought the TU model 1, and recently purchased the PhotoEquip MD-Grip for the M8. Perfect fit for my hands.

Do you know if your MD-Grip sticks out further or closer to the camera body when compared to the Leica grip? In fact, perhaps you could measure the distance from the body to the far end (outward) of the grip? I would appreciate knowing since I feel the Leica grip is too large for me. The grip extends out a little over 7/8" (29/32) from the M8 body.

When I tried the Leica grip, it also resulted in an uncomfortable stretch to the shutter release.

Anatomically, unless you have hands like an Iranatang, the Leica grip isn’t all that ergonomic although I’m still monkeying around with it.

Without The Logo??

Without The Logo??

Does anyone know if you can buy these without the logo on the back? Seems to take away for the sleek design of the piece and the style is completely different then that of the Camera fonts and Leica logo. Less is more in this case.

It's been mentioned before as others have used some sort of liquid to wipe it off and I figure I'll do the same. Tim would do well by simply engraving small lettering into his work and suspense with the white paint.
Regards,

You guys are crazy, I have no problem with the M grip, it fits comfortably in my hand.
That being said I'm selling it because I ended up liking the way the body feels with no case and no grip in my hand.
So if anyone wants a silver one let me know.
