Thursday Street Thread April 10th

thx, Rene. No, they are on colour negative. Either agfa iso200 or fuji reala. Printed commercially and scanned from the print on a flatbed...
The weird soft-sharp colour patches are most probably the result of a well-abused Sonnar glass. Thousands of tiny-winy scratches ("cleaning marks") on the front lens surface.

Wow I DO love that look!

Which girl do you mean, the girl in the color picture or the one in b&W?

Colour one.
No, seems I'm mistaken. It's really Nieuwendijk. Somewhere near I bought my Leica.
Sorry :)

And two pics from Moscow

amidst the hustle, noise, and heat of a busy Taipei street, a young burn victim makes a living crafting and selling dolls, with help from a friend...

The effect is very nice. So you can consistently get that effect ? Hang on to that lens !

Cheers.

Model 337 Great shots, both.

I like the selective focus in the first and the colors and composition of the second. Colors really pop and the juxtaposition of the ad and the live person work very well.

Very encouraging to see all this work!

Model 337: That first shot is lovely. Did you use a filter of some kind for that shot?

BRNO: Superlative! Bravo.

Amsterdam centre is a really nice place for street snaps.
You just stand on a corner of the Dam square - pick any of the many corners - and the world walks in front of you!
I always get high when i go there. Not that kind of high; my picturemaking mood gets high!

I had a similar feeling in Edinburgh centrum. Image: Photographer on the hunt, Royal Mile, Edinburgh.
