This summer I visited the tile factory of 'Craven & Dunnill' in Jackfield in Shropshire, England. Photography without lights or tripod wasn't easy but here are a few samples of tiles.

This is the entrance hall

Upstairs there is a Gents Toilet with this panel -

The firm produced tiles for a variety of places and uses. This example was for a child's nursery and illustrated a well known character:

Many Victorian and Edwardian shops had tiled walls. This was supplied for a 'butchers/grocery' chain of the same name.

Hope these provide some inspiration!

The first picture is an overview of a wall mural created with tiles. The second and third pictures are closeup views of selected sections of the mural where the individual tiles are visible. This mural is a (much enlarged) replica of a long scroll Chinese painting. It is located at the entrance of a garden courtyard in southern China not too far from the City of Guangzhou (formerly known as Canton)

The first picture is yet another section of the wall mural shown in the previous post.

The other two pictures, taken elsewhere, show tiles on the ground.
