Edit: The Olympus goes to lynnb. Perhaps there's something else here that tickles your fancy.
Edit 2: MX and 35-EE have new homes. Minoltina is still available.

Other waifs and strays:
- Pentax MX with SMC-M 40mm f/2.8. Meter kaput; all else working and not too ugly. Fitted with plain matte focussing screen and some no-name metal grip. - goes to Prest_400.
- Minolta Minoltina AL-S. Meter also dead, all else OK. Very pretty little camera. VF a little dim, so best for daytime use, but RF is accurate and shutter working at all speeds. - BernardL claims it.
- Fujica 35-EE (like this). All working, even the meter and autoexposure system. Really a cool camera. - to tuanvinh2000.

Dear all,

Once again I must seek your help in rehousing a homeless camera. Today's needy soul is an Olympus OM-4 Ti. Hasn't been used in well over a year, battery is dead, but I'm pretty sure it's still fully functional. Black paint, cosmetically tidy with wear mainly to the edges, all coverings intact, and all glass and seals tidy. It'll come with a Vivitar Auto Wide-Angle 28mm f/2.5, and my thanks for preventing it going to waste.

I'd like to give priority to someone who a) hasn't had a camera from me before, and b) can pick it up from near Tower Bridge during the working day (a is more important than b), but I'll take all enquiries into consideration.

Oh, and price? Let's see... how about a post with photos taken with this combo? Seems reasonable to me.

An OM4Ti? After the small death of my OM-1 that's now at home, it'd be fantastic to make company to a house lacking a classic SLR. Or I could circle it to a student here, I'm getting into more student communities lately.

You remind me I should go and take a look at the work I did with the OM1 and Zuiko 28mm 3.5 = Neat combination.

It's a good excuse to fly towards London indeed, heh.

Dear ruby.monkey,

hmm... since one of my daughters now has a Nikon with a 24mm lens, I know the other one would also like to have a fine manual SLR with a wide angle ;)

What do you like more: sports photography or nature?

After getting an OM-1 that has absolutely and rudely defied me as I try to fix its metering system, I'm really intrigued to try another OM System camera. I've already got two lenses that can go into its new bag... a 50mm f1.8 and a Zuiko zoom that I found in a bag of miscellaneous camera bits at a thrift shop.

Please send it to me and I'll give it a good home. :)

Scott

Because I don't want to go through the hassle of selling, and I'm quite happy to give money to charity anyway. The next caretaker, of course, is free to do as he pleases with the camera.

lynnb asked first, so I think it fair that lynnb gets the camera. For everyone else who expressed an interest - many thanks and have a look at the opening post to see if any of the additions might sugar the pill.

Thanks heaps Jean-Yves, much appreciated! I've PM'd you my address, please let me know what postage costs and your PayPal so I can reimburse you.

I've ordered my first roll of new Ektachrome 100, so that's what I'll put through it. I'll post images from the roll either in this thread or a new one.

Again, many thanks for your generosity.

Dear ruby.monkey,

I just woke up because my 6 y/o son kicked me out of bed, and now I discover your amendment :)

I'm prepared to adopt this waif and stray :)

A meterless camera, this is probably even better for my other daughter than a metered one!

Congrats, Lynn.
Great move by Jean-Ives!

Hi Sumarongi,

'fraid that Prest_400 beat you to it; but the Minoltina is still available - same focal length, much prettier package. :)

Good morning dear Jean-Yves,
just before she was walking out of the door for school my daughter in question informed me that she just wants to have the Retina Reflex S that I've bought very recently. Thank you anyways :D

I'll be happy to pay the postage (France) for the Minoltina (really pretty) and post the "best of" from the first roll before end of 2018 year. If still available.
It will keep company to my 7SII.
