time for a cla

Sent my iid and my summar off to youxin ye for a cla.

I figured it's time, minor issues, nothing major. Just wanted to make sure that all is well.

03-17-2015 -- was when i sent it off, it is done, lens cla'd, new beam splitter, lens was cleaned -- today is 6-19-2015 -

just be aware even youxin is busy - 3 months out on a cla -- it should be here tomorrow morning, also ordered a nice kenji case for it ---

Good for Youxin I guess, but that's an awfully long wait on a CLA, it seems to me.

I sent my iiic to Youxin about 2 or 3 weeks ago for a CLA. I want to say around May 31st? I don't want to say I received any special treatment, but I sent a simple email to him asking how my camera was coming along and he replied that it was there safe and sound, that he had a 2 month turn-around and if I wanted it sooner to just give the word.

I told him that would be great if he could do that, and the camera along with the Elmar attached was literally finished the next day, along with a detailed explanation of what was wrong with each item, and what he did to fix it. I paid and the camera was shipped to me next day. I should be receiving it tomorrow. Youxin is really a great guy!

Sorry to hear yours took so long! I don't think the wait has anything to do with how long it takes to CLA a camera, but with how many cameras he actually has.

I told him no rush. He told me it would be about 2 months, offered to bump it up in line, I said no because I was busy with my m8

so, i have it in hand -- it purrs like never before, the lens is 1000 % better -- the focus ring is no longer stiff, the rf patch is bright
