The time has come, the time, I always though about, will never happen, to really think about selling my R-D1.
I am not designated, to do so. It is a mood, that changes from day to day now.
I don't use the R-D1 anymore.
For all RF things, I use the M8.2 the most as my daily camera and shoot much film also with a film M.
I found out lately about my affection to fast lenses and got a fast SLR lens, I use more now on a FM3a and on digital.
Every time, I see my R-D1, I once used on a daily basis in the storage, it hurts me.
There is another twist to it. I have collected so much stuff, I never be able to use or even transport at once. I am not residing in my home country, so the mobility factor is another concern, wanting to slim down the stuff a bit.
A often visited dealer has offered a fair price (regarding pricing from a dealer) to me, as he knows, how I treat my stuff (I bought this R-D1 from him).
I am seriously tempted, to let it go.
What would you do?
Take it back to the dealer?
Find a good home at a fellow rangefinder shooter for it?
Keep it for the seldom times, I put a 35 Summaron on it and do some relaxing snap shots with it without the pressure of turning out serious shots?
I am back and forward on this and need some handholding to decide …
