Not a setup... although I suspect a parent was near by. The kid was singing his heart out. Not many people passed by with out dropping a bill in his case. He got a 5 from me.

Well, if that is the case and he can make that much money from busking, I suggest you track him down and offer to be his manager. Next stop Vegas.😎

I have a photo in the pile from a while back of a child in Tijuana younger than the above. He was banging out 'La Bamba' to any and all... sad actually.

I'm sure we could start a thread on this topic (if there isn't one already...).

I think rather than this picture being a symbol of hard times, it in fact has a feeling of hope and more prosperous times to come.

The clean, well dressed children with neat, well kemped haircuts. Plenty of money in the `pot` to fill their bellies.

I don't see that many pointers towards poverty, unlike a shot of Brazilian children rummaging through a tip.
