So load up some film and make some photographs. That is what I did a few weeks ago, packed up the camera and headed to Wal-mart. Want to see how my trip went?

Here are just a couple from the set.

My favorite, I kept exposure to @1/15s to get some DOF,

Nice Ralph! A trip to the shops here would be a bit similar, save the lack of snow, and the houses are on smaller blocks.

Thanks Chris.

I was just having fun with this roll of film and I really like the "Set."

It was a lazy day, I got home with the intention of processing this right away, but took a nap instead. :)

I felt the same way the last few weeks and didn't take one single photo. This week I had some time and now I have three rolls of 120 film to get developed. The only problem is that shops will be closed until tuesday. You know...because of this holiday where we celebrate rabbits and eggs.

Tired? Check!
Lazy? Check!
In a rut? Check!
Do I win a prize? :(

Lately, it's been pretty bad for me. No drive, no interest, just bummed out about photography. But, over the last weeks I started taking more pictures of my wife. Nothing special, just little portraits and pictures of her in the house. Despite the fact that she doesn't enjoy having her picture taken she only bugged me about it once, and since then just smiles and cooperates.

It's good practice for me, because I would like to take more casual portraits, but I'm often shy to ask (even when it's a family member). So I get a little experience, we both get to enjoy more pictures, and I get out of this damned rut.

neat, but what is all the white stuff on the ground?

Tired. lazy and in a rut? Guilty as charged but shooting lots of film doesn't seem to alter the equation. What's to be done.?

I'm okay with taking pictures, I'm just lazy with the follow-up developing, scanning to share here, and darkroom printing.

I rarely ever ask anyone for their permission to take their picture. To this date I have never been refused. People turn away. Big deal. But, as you write the hard part is scanning the negatives and putting them on the computer. This I find extremely difficult as I do not own a scanner.

Tired, lazy, in a rut? Not since I've kicked off the Pass the RF - part 3 and the Shoot all day on Equinox projects. :) Going back to some B&W film, dev'ing it in caffenol, and shooting it with my FED-2 and/or my M2 gave me new inspiration.

I'm now reading an Aperture book on Yevgheny Khaldey and I'm finding connections in his early work for TASS. Amsterdam is under heavy (re)construction and I'm trying to incorporate Khaldey's (or better, Socialist Russia's) optimism in my photos. Immense task but what can a man do but aim high? :)

The excitement of that R4a you just ordered ought to be able to get you out of your rut.:)

Yes it will, though I have been shooting and enjoying myself.

I did something similar a little while ago - decided to take 36 shots on the way to pick up my son from nursery. I chose to use a Ricoh 500G Rangefinder that I had just fixed up and some Ilford Delta 400 ASA

They are either a photographic record of the area in which I live in 2006 or some of the most boring photos I have ever taken :) I actually quite like them.....

A couple shots posted below - the rest are HERE

Silva Lining, They may be boring to you but the quality is great, the tones are all there, especially for a cloudy day, and the scanning is excellent. How did you scan them, I assume scanning because you said Delta 400?

Thanks Charjohncarter! I have a Minolta Dimage Scan elite 5400 film scanner which I used to scan these. The Ricoh has a nice little lens on it, quite contrasty.
