Titanium Shutter - how can I tell?

That's correct. The first hundred or so F's have cloth shutters. The F below has a cloth shutter. I saw it with my own eyes.

All I can see with my own eyes on the Nikon F pictured above is metal and vinyle leatherette.

What's fitted on the guy's head might be cloth, though.

Although Shintaro has told me that he's installed cloth curtains in the F, so there might be a few later model Fs floating around with cloth curtains.

I asked Shintaro last night about 6400166. He said that as far as he knows, its genuine.
