Hello.
I just bought bunch of Tmax 400 rolls, since I expose my last HP5+
, but I never shot with this film before. So what do you think about pushing it to 3200, is it working OK in Rodinal (at 400 asa) and D76 and how do you compare it pushed 3200 with HP5+ also pushed 3200? Thanks in advance for comments. I saw some examples on internet but I prefer first hand expiriences from RFF members

Hello,
In my opinion, TMY-2 does not push well. Not even to 1600. While I had some success at 1600, I wouldn't use Rodinal, but rather a developer that offers full emulsion speed, such as X-TOL or T-MAX. Rodinal might be a good solution when pulling film.

Real Men Shoot Film.

This was shot on Tmax 400 at 1600 and developed in Tmax Developer. I have not tried it at 3200 because Ilford's Delta 3200 film, developed in Tmax Developer, gives better results than Tmax 400 does at 1600, and I imagine the advantage is even bigger at 3200.

Back in the film days I used TMX for concert photography and pushed it to ISO800 (in ID-11) with pretty good results but that was about it. 1600 might be acceptable but 3200 is definitely pushing it

Chriscrawfordphoto this looks nice, I will try for sure 1600 and 3200 too but it seems like 3200 is not a good option, unfortunately. I was satisfied with HP5+ 3200 but I ran out of it and it is too expensive here. Icebear I will shot concerts too with it
