Wonderful photos! Thanks for this thread!

Hello everyone-
I've been lurking on this forum for a few years but have not actively participated. I have a number of wonderful old film cameras in my cabinet and recently decided to start shooting with them again using BW film. I have acquired what I need to develop my own film and have been teaching myself film development and scanning techniques. This thread has been very helpful to me for several reasons: 1. The photographs are really wonderful and have further inspired me, and 2. I have read about various developer matches for TMY-2 (my chosen film for now) and in this amazing thread I have actually been able to see the results using many different developers. Incredibly helpful and educational for me! Based on this thread I think I like TMY-2 in TMax 1:4 and HC-110 Dilution H the best. Of interest, i didn't see many images done in Xtol which many have written is ideal for TMY-2.

Thanks to all of you for posting these photos and the technical info. It has really helped me!

As I am also learning scanning I would be very interested in knowing what scanning technique some of you use. I don't wish to hijack this wonderful thread, but if any of you would be willing to send me a private message I would be very grateful. I have a Nikon 4000 ED scanner, Vuescan, Colorperfect as well as an Epson V550 flatbed scanner.

Thanks!

Sorry! I see the scanning questions was answered elsewhere.

Sorry! I see the scanning questions was answered elsewhere.

I see there is a sticky thread in the Scanning forum that answers my question about how best to approach scanning my BW negs. Sorry to have reposted the question as part of my previous reply here. Newbie mistake! Just learning how to use this site and the incredible depth here. 🙄

Thanks!

Steve
