I use Perceptol for developing 400-2TMY. Almost no grain. I like that because I try to get the effect of the Perutz Fliegerfilm from the twenties and thirties of the 20th century. Of course the 400-2TMY is much faster.

Bingley, your development times and agitation schedule worked absolutely perfectly. Did three rolls in single tank and they were spot on.
Thank you so very much for spending the time to help me.
Cheers, and a Happy New Year to you and your family.

James,
Thanks for that! And great to hear that the development approach I use for TMax 400 worked for you too!
I'm going to try Perceptol one of these days b/c I love the results that Erik van Straten gets. But I've been pretty happy with the regimen I worked out with HC 110 dil. h.

I see T-max400 as an obvious improvement of TriX, but TriX seems to be a far more popular film. Why?
Abstraction.
But I like both.

Excellent, Charles! I've tried - unsuccessfully - to find better vantage points for a shot of the Brunel Bridge.
Where were you located, for that shot? It looks as though it was in the car parking area.

Hi tbhv55 - it was indeed the car park - to the front left in the picnic area.
The Sonnar 250mm on the 6x6cm works out about 125mm, and it needed a tiny crop, so a standard 135mm would do the job admirably if using a normal 35mm.
I was hoping to get it just going through the arch, but of course I forgot to remove the dark slide (I'd only had 5 minutes watching it come into Saltash etc), fortunately at 15mph you have time for a fumble!

Thanks - I think I'll go there, and try that location, at some point. I'd probably use a Bronica 6x6, so the focal lengths will match yours. I don't have a 250mm, so a 150mm will have to do.
BTW, I'm fairly sure that your dark slide 'problem' is well-known to every user of this style of camera!
