2 rolls of Tmax400 hanging to dry. I exposed at 400 and processed in Perceptol 1:3 for 17 minutes at 20c, and they are looking good. I tried to find Erik's formula for developing TMAX in Perceptol but didn't in time.

A question then for Erik - what speed do you shoot at when using Perceptol, and what concentration, temperature, time and inversions? I'd be very grateful so I could try this out!

I expose at 200 ISO, develope for 10 minutes at 20 degrees C. in one part Perceptol and two parts water. Inversions every minute.

17 minutes is too long, even for when you expose at 400 ISO. Results are better when you expose at 200 ISO, you get more shadow detail and a shorter developing time gives easier to print highlights.

First one off the scanner - a 1935 MGPA at the Bugatti Owners Club, taken on my Leica III with 1949 Summitar. Tmax400 in Perceptol 1:3 for 17minutes. Absolutely no adjustments made, not sure any are needed.

Yes, looks very good, but printing is something different than scanning.

Over-developed parts (very black) are difficult to print, even in split-grade, so I always try to avoid these.

Noted, I spent a day in a darkroom with a good friend, an Ilford Artisan partner, getting a good print of a negative with lots of dark. Until I get my darkroom (hopefully this year) I'm stuck with a hybrid flow. These were lovely negatives but I think the shadow area on a lot is too dark.

But it's a great developer, and next time I'll be shooting at 200 and developing as you suggested.

Finally shot a roll of Tmax400 at 200 and developed in Perceptol 1:2 for 10 minutes at 20C. Very pleasing negatives, neither too thick nor too thin. I can see immediately the printability is there.

Nikon N8008s, Makinon 135 2.8 on T Max 400 shot at 200 and developed in Rodinal at 1:25 for 8 min w/ almost no agitation. The DOF is very small at 2.8 on a 135 lens and this one doesn't sharpen up until 5.6, which works well for portraits of seniors.
