To and From: Keysville, VA

I've started a new series on Flickr of some of my travels around the local area.


First up is Keysville, VA, a small town in the Piedmont region with a short line rail operation in the center. There are plenty of businesses to keep the place going, but not quite like the old days.


I talked with the mayor who just happened to be on the street when I was taking photos of a place he thought I wanted to buy (see the fourth photo below). He was very proud of what he had been able to accomplish with the town upkeep, and gave me one more sales spiel before I could disengage from the conversation.

I have found the secret to shooting Ektar is to make sure your camera has a good, accurate shutter if you are going to eyeball the exposures.
