To make the ultimate low-key bag

I question the point of it all. You can carry your RF in a brown paper lunch bag but as soon as you pull out the camera and start focusing and ratcheting in front of people's faces, all the low-keyness of the whole operation is gone..

That's not a bad idea. Brown paper bag, with paper straps and a large tube so that it looks like it has booze inside of it. The tube would need to be big enough to fit a camera in of course.

You'd make a fortune selling your "Bum bag" to Leica users 😉

I take my camera out to shoot, but in 12-14 hours of walking around, maybe 1 hour does the camera spend out of the bag. I wouldn't use a paper bag because when it rains, the bag gets wet and the camera falls through the bottom. I have a plan in the works now. When I finish the bag, I will post pics of it and people will be able to see what a really low-key but very capable bag should look like - and not cost $300.
