To those been to Kyushu, Japan, what was your top list hot spot?

Hi,

I will plan a 5 days trip in Kyushu, Japan (sometime July). What was your favorite hot spot for photo? I like natural scenic area, like water fall and street photo. I only have Beppu, Mount Aso and Takachiho Gorge in mind, any other suggestion?

That's a large area, but the new shinkansen should make travel easier. Kagoshima is a beautiful city, IMHO. Piping hot at that time. But probably no worse than Lanta. Amami Ooshima is s'posed to be a gorgeous island.

Not sure if you are interested in the touristy stuff, but how about Fukuoka Castle? Fukuoka is the only place I've been in Kyushu. I enjoyed it.

Castle stuff I will do it in Kyoto and Osaka, lots famous castle and Shrine.
