I went with my two daughters to the beach today. I took along a Konica Hexar Silver AF camera with the 35mm/2 lens and I also threw into the small camera bag a Canon F1N with a Canon 85mm/1.2L lens. Both cameras were loaded with B&W film for a roll and also with Fuji 100 print film. I got back the color film scanned after one hour, and here are a few photos from the rolls. Most of the posted photos are taken by the Hexar. I had quite a few out-of-focus shots with my F1 camera as my daughters were moving a lot.

Here are a few more shots. Hope you like some of them. It is nothing special; just a father taking photos of his two little daughters while they enjoy the beaches.

Nice shots and a good enough reason for me. I'm always chasing my son around 😀 I like #8 the best, but I'd be happy to claim any of them.

Cute kids there Raid. We were looking at the possibility of freezing rain this evening. Wish my family and I could have joined you.

the beach isn't a great place to knock out the background with the lens wide open, especially with the 1/250sec limit of the hexar af.

nice pics, though overexposed.

The sand is this white and the sky was washed out whitish so I am not sure the photos were overexposed. I know that it is cold in many areas of the country, and it is nice to have warmer weather in the winter.

That one is nice too, but there's just something about the gull right above them in #8 that makes the image for me. Having shot at a couple of beaches :bang: :bang: :bang: <LOL> I find your exposures to be much better than many of mine...

Which ones were shot with which camera? Oh, and which Fuji 100? I really like Reala but this doesn't quite look like that (not that I'd know 🙄 )

edit: dude, you changed favorites on me while I was typing 🙂 That is a really good shot there now. Thank you for sharing it.

Raid, those look like the beaches I frequented when I lived in Panama City, I love the bright colors with the all white gives it an almost high key effect in color.

Glad you like the last one. It shows Lina (15 months) reaching out to her sister Dana (nearly 3). I used Fujicolor 100. Early in the summer I bought one hundred 24-exp rolls for $50 shipped. It show excellent results and I am surprised by how good this basic film is.

Rick: It's the same type of sand in the Florida Panhandle. Some people cannot believe how white the sand is.

Raid, I neverhad the 1.2 L but have shot quite a lot with the 85 2.8. Yes, I know how white the beaches are. Blind you in the summer. I worked down there for awhile after the hurricane that hit. Opal I believe
