I saw this structure from the train during a business trip and knew I had to return to Japan for a proper shot of it with a 4x5. I found a spot up high and waited for the light then set up. A security guard ran towards me frantically waving his arms as I was doing my best to compose, focus, recompose and refocus. I snapped it before getting thrown out.

A supermoon in Tokyo
My wife and I just spent the night in the Asakusa area of Tokyo. I took this picture from the rooftop of the hotel we stayed at.
The tall tower is the Tokyo Skytree (634 meters tall), the Sumida River in the foreground.

Thats my favorite area in Tokyo. I usually stay in Ueno and walk to Asakusa though the neighborhoods. That thing on the rooftop on the left always made me laugh because it looks like a giant turd. I am not sure what it’s supposed to be,
