Great photo. Keep clear enough of the river to be safe from kappas.

In September 2011, just to the left of this frame, on the strip of footpath/sidewalk between the entrance to the Toei Line part of the Asakusa Station complex and the road that continues on to be the Komagata Bridge, I was accosted by a very (extremely!) old, incredibly short - maybe 130cm/4'4" - lady dressed as the devil. Her costume was mostly tight and black, but with red horns, a tail with a red arrowhead terminal appendage and a trident (plastic, fortunately). She grabbed my arm with an almost unnaturally powerful grip and talked at me. I am unaccustomed to being approached in Tokyo; there are no shortage of gaijin and people are usually fairly reserved. But this lady was very interested in me. Extremely. I don't really speak/understand enough Japanese to have any idea what she was interested in, though. I extricated myself without further incident and was on my way. I saw her again a couple of days later in one of the covered shopping areas between Kokousai Dori and Senso-ji. She was dressed in all silver that day, including a silver cape. She looked like a walking wine cask bladder (goon bag for Australians). I managed to dodge her that day. I am very used to not always understanding what is going when I have been in Japan, including happening upon peculiar local festivals, culturally unfamiliar customs and a range of other things. But this little akuma no on'na was truly baffling. I still occasionally wonder what was going on.

Some lovely photos in this thread!

I was in Tokyo twice ... once in 1992 for two and a half months, and then again in 2002 for a week or so.

Made with Sony DSC-F707

Perhaps if I remember when I get home, I'll dig up some more of my photos from those trips. The '92 photos will all be film, of course, so they might prove difficult to find if I haven't scanned them.
