Tom A's new M8 baseplate?

I heard that Tom A is designing a new baseplate for the M8 to address the necessity of taking the baseplate off to change batteries/SD cards. True?

Tom, if this is true and you're listening, it would also be nice to have an Arca groove cut directly into the baseplate...

That is a good idea and would also be true of his Rapidwinder. A regular M plate is very very slightly too narrow for Tom's winder.
