Thinking about buying the Leica Camera Repair Handbook by Tomosy but jeez is that ever a poorly edited book! Just flipping through it (on Google Books) I see "lense" and "Hector" and "focal plain" on the same page! The technical info is better than the spelling, I hope?
My local library has some of his other books (but not the Leica book, not even via inter-library) and those don't exactly bowl me over, either.
So, is it generally worth the $30? My IIIf is still in need of some tweaking. Capping shutter at 500 and 1000, dim RF image and a small light leak. Nothing earth-shattering. Plus I just got a KEH "ugly" grade 9cm Elmar which could use a good cleaning.
I have the official Leica service manual from Kim Coxon's site and I'm aware of another book by Romney that appears to be out of print.
