Anyone going to try for a good shot at tonights "super moon"?
While the moon was closest to the earth in its orbit, with the distances involved, the subtended angle change doesn't make for a significant visual difference. Has anyone done the math for that?
I don't have a suitable lens either, so I just enjoyed looking at it with our clear sky last night.

It was supposed to be at its best at moonrise, which was about 7:25 here. By the time I thought about going outside it was close to 10pm.
Yeah, it was midnight by the time we got a look at it here, so all size reference was lost by then, but I hauled out the telephoto gear anyway.
