In this day and age of dwindling courtesies and the dumbing down of standards and customer service, I feel it important to recognize those dealers who do a superb job.

Purchased a Leica lens from Tony Rose at Popflash. From the original inquiry, to shipment, to follow-up, Tony and his staff (Josh) were simply a pleasure to deal with. Never felt rushed, always felt they were eager to help. Professional, friendly and easy to work with.

A perfect 10 on every count, thanks Tony.

+1

Another way to judge someone is how they handle a problem, that is when the "true" colors fly. I had an issue with something that I bought from Tony and he has handled it very well. That is true customer service.

Thanks Tony.

They are really perfect, couple of days ego I wanted to buy 28mm elmarit ASPH but they had none in stock, So I went for B&H 🙁 I am still regreting! awfull service, with awfull delivery, my lens is not with me yet! 🙁 , enough whining yeah pop flash is really excellent!

I am glad to know about Tony, but I have dealt with B&H off and on for 30 years and I have to give them an A+ on service, never a problem. But I would never put them in the same category of Tony, Robert White, Photo Village or Gandy for product knowledge.

Akiva : yes they are good, but unfortunatly big companys are harder to operate, I usualy use adorama, but they did not have the lens in stock either, the problem was shipping, I aksed for fedex but they said not and shipped with UPS which I hate 🙂

I hear you. Big always means less on many levels. I just wanted folks to know that B&H seems to me to reputable for what they do, which simply to process orders. BTW I also I have never had a problem with returns, and I am a picky gearhead.

Is 75mm f2.5 Color-Heliar M mount? Akiva?

It's Leica thread mount, so you need a 50/75mm adapter ring for M-mount bodies.

I just got the 28mm/2.8 ASPH last week, and it's very nice. I'll post some samples later.

Too bad 🙁 I wanted cheap tele lens, Thank you for the answer!

Nothing wrong with using an adaptor.

Anyways, Tony is very good to deal with. That reminds me, I need to give him a call so I can order that hood for my 50/1.5 ZM!

I'm a little tied up right now, I am mining Tony's website. This could be dangerous.

Looks like you're lacking a 50 based on your sig. Both the 50/2 ZM and the 50/1.5 ZM are very nice. You should give Tony a call! 😀

(FYI: Paid RFF members get free freight with Popflash!)

Are they both black like my other lenses, so my wife wouldn't know. Please say yes, no please say no, I mean PLEASE say YES!

Yes, you can get either of those lenses in your choice of black or silver. 🙂

Ditto! Tony and Josh are up to their ears getting the new M8s delivered right now and even tho I'm not getting one until the second shipment (whine), they are the best. Tony helped me resolve a big $ problem I had on an Ebay purchase. He had no reason to do so and doesn't know me from Adam, but he did and I am forever grateful and loyal from here on out.

I ordered a nice new Leica lens from Popflash while Tony was away at Photokina. I went through the web order process and mentioned in a note somewhere that I was an RFF member. I expected to simply be charged for the lens with no shipping, but I guess Tony's software doesn't do that.

What I got was a well packed lens and tucked into the lens box was a check from Tony's wife for the shipping amount. I thought that was great! Popflash really does deserve its stellar reputation!! 🙂

Tony Rose / Popflash ... superb !

I second that. I had a defective, new USA M7 right out of the box. He insisted on a replacement rather than a repair. Tony orchestrated an overnight return via drop-ship directly from Leica. He paid for the overnight shipping. A great guy!
