too good to be true : Craigslist : Leica S2 kit : $2250

Probably miss priced it at 22,500. But then you need more lenses and you will not find them at 90% savings if you can get them at all.

A pro Nikon/Canon is way more than 99% can effectively use and there are great advantages to small light consumer gear for some things. I use a D40 to D3. First love is still a Barnack. I wish I could capture the looks when I carry both.

i once had an opportunity to buy a 2006 Honda Civic for $3500. it was mint.

it's just too bad the seller wanted the money wired to him elsewhere in the world.

I bought it from him last night... and have it in hand now... I'll post results soon.

JS, I'll give you $3500 for it sight unseen. I'm traveling now and don't have access to my PayPal account, but if you email me your bank account info I'll transfer the money first thing tomorrow...

Yeah, CL is great. I picked up a pristine Canon 50/1.4 LTM with VC M-adapter for $180 a couple months back. I would never have spent that little money on eBay for fear of it being junk.

The scams are pretty easy to spot: way too good to be true. They're mainly phishing expeditions - they just want your email address, and have no interest in your money. $40k car for $10k. $5k camera kit for $1k. The products for sale are usually popular ones.

So frustrating to miss out on bargains like this because I live on the other side of the world.

Is there an RFFer who would consider picking this up for me and sending it to me in Oz as a gift so I don't have to pay fees or taxes?
