Also, RE: Classified TEXT-- there is no option for font, size, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough or colors. I miss having those options when placing or editing an ad

REALLY NOT LIKING whatever change was made yesterday. Now when I go to RangefinderForum.com, I get a list which includes thread topics, then separately the thread topic replies. What the heck? Why are they being separated out? Now the home page is just a confusing mess of threads, instead of each thread including the topic and the replies. Can't understand why the current set up would be better than what we had two days ago.
Best,

I do hope we can get back to the front page we had before the "latest posts" version. Otherwise, I'm kind of surfing this process. It's getting better.
A thing I'd like to see but not important is the ability to go to the last page of a thread by clicking a button at the top of the thread. Currently, I see a couple arrows (back and forward) and the number of pages. If I scroll down to the bottom of the first page of a thread, I see the buttons I would also like to see at the top. Using those buttons, I can then click on the last page button and ....zip.... I'm at the last page and I can see the latest gossip. FWIW, I do not like the "Latest Activity" layout at all, but that's a personal preference...some may like it.

Problem pasting my pictures that I just added to the gallery, into a post I wanted to add to a thread. I used to right click on my gallery shot (using Macbook); click on Copy Image Address; and then the img to import into my post. But "Copy Image Address" didn't work a few minutes ago. Is it me? Or has this feature been removed?
Follow-up: The problem was that I was having trouble getting the thumbnail to come up larger; it is then that you get the option to copy image address. At first it just wouldn't come up. I clicked and clicked and it didn't work. A few minutes later, it did, and I got my shots posted. No idea if I was making a mistake, or it just wasn't working at first.
Follow-up to the follow-up: The reason the full size image didn't come up was that I didn't realize that you have to click in a narrow band at the top of the thumbnail. There is something covering the rest of the thumbnail that shields it from being clicked on. I don't know why.

Classified images were suddenly limited to only 5 (is that really going to be the default from now on?--seems very limiting). But since I placed my ad when there was the 10 limit, they have stayed, but now I can only delete, but not replace, until I get down to 5 or less.
MP Guy, I know I PM'd you about this, but just a reminder (since I'm sure there is a lot on your plate), when originally placing the ad, there was no warning that images were too large, causing the ad to simply not go through, losing all text too--this happened multiple times until I messaged you. Also, it says 'images are limited to 16mb' (but doesn't specify if that is total or for each image). I downsized my images so ALL 10 would have used less than 16mb and I still got the error

I tried messaging you and got errors having to do with "too many messages in my folder" when almost none. That did not help with moving your sale along.

Hap, Is there something you are still interested in?
Let me figure out some way for direct contact without posting my personal email for the whole world to have. I will PM to you directly, hopefully you'll be able to receive it

From what I've been able to determine, as it is now, the classifieds/gallery section has its own inbox and message system totally apart from the main site.
So a reminder to anyone who missed the earlier thread, you have to log in separately to classifieds to post there or send messages. This requires you go to classifieds, and attempt a log in, then hit forgot password...then you receive an email with a new password that works only for classifieds. Your original RFF password is unaffected.
It sounds more complicated than it is. Essentially you treat Classifieds/Gallery as a separate site with a separate password and PM system (but the same user name).

That must be my problem....I haven't yet been able to access the classifieds. Head bartender suggested that I could use my forum login but that turned out to be incorrect.

I know the sign on has been mentioned, but I can’t reliably log in on a mobile device. I am currently totally unable to get to messages either in the forum or classified page. It seems to work on my computer though. I like the look of the new site though and hope it gets the kinks worked out.
seeing some major progress.

So please start listing bugs in this thread.
Google search links are broken, returning this error message:
'Invalid Page URL. If this is an error and the page should exist, please contact the system administrator and tell them how you got this message.'
This is the case even with threads which definitely still exist (ie. can be found through an internal RFF search).

Yes. I am aware of that and that is an issue being worked on by vbulletin. There is an open ticket for that and we are at their mercy for this one.

Gotcha. Hopefully they come through...

Posting images to the gallery is working well for me. But I wonder why, when trying to bring up an already posted image, you have to click in a narrow band at the top. clicking below that level doesn't work because there is an overlay that shields the thumbnail from being clicked. Is it necessary?

There are two layers on the thumbnail. When you hover over the thumbnail, it display info about the photo, title, camera, details etc .... Clicking on an info in text are will bring up relevant info. Clicking on the actual photo will enlarge the thumb nail itself. Clicking on the title or the expand icon will bring you to the photo page itself. I can enhance the behavior or position of the text info so more of the photo is visible when hovering over it.

I think I remember seeing that, just briefly--as if it just kind of came and went in a day or two--perhaps in response to your feedback. It was probably an experiment. It seems ok now, doesn't it?
Can you reply to any PM's from anyone? Or is the problem restricted?
This was in response to a 'visitor message', I haven't had any PMs to reply to lately, so that hasn't been tested.
Visitor messages don't appear in my PM list so I'm assuming they are different from PMs.

Media shows I have 160 images, which might be why I've exceeded my quota. But try to look at them- none found.
I think many of these were deleted long ago, but cannot test this.
