Interesting blog from Kamerastore. All the usual suspects but a couple that I don't think should be in the top 35 and my favourtite is 35th

Thanks for that Alex. I have to agree with their number one choice as that is my most-used camera: Leica M6. Photo of my 1986 classic here in the bike shed at home.

AE-1 as #2? What a joke (I say that as an owner of one).
Nikonos V at #11 though...that makes sense. What an awesome camera that is.

I agree with maybe 5 positions. Strange list.

I totally agree. What about the way better A1 or F1?

I wish people would stop buying Ae1s just shows you the power of the internet, t90 A1s are all cheaper and better.

Strange list.
To me it sort of reads like a list of "all 35 cameras in my collection" ranked from 1 to 35.

Why the Nikon F3 is only at #28? non Mamiya RB67? No Pentax 645 (n / nII)? Missing the Nikon F4/5. No Fuji 6XX rangefinders?
And possibly creating crazy prices for the Leica M6.
Hate these stupid lists

A1, F1, EF, T70, T90 are all leaps and bounds better cameras in the FD lineup. But nah, let's put both the AE-1 and AE-1P in the top 35 list instead

Guys, relax, it's top searched and clicked cameras. Half of the Canon AE1 hits are probably just people figuring out how much the camera in their dad's attic is worth.

Exactly. My local film camera dealer must get about 3 in a week (60+ demographic) from people looking to sell, of which 2 have a terminal case of Canon cough and the other has fungus. They all quote ebay prices with total authority then get a bit cheesed off when offered very little. Why he bothers I don't know!

At my workplace, almost everyday some teenager drops by asking for Canon AE-1's !
It's the go to camera for people starting to shoot film. I literally have no idea why, since that camera doesn't really shine in any department, and so many of them develop the shutter squeak. I am guessing some youtuber or instagram influencer started using it.

It is by Google Search Popularity Not Best Film Cameras

If you read the intro paragraph, they explain the criteria used for inclusion... this is not a BEST camera list, just a most Googled camera list.
"Specifically, for the Top 35 Film Cameras we reworked the data a bit and it comes simply from entirety of Google queries we had access to (through our ad data) which come to over 10 million google queries! – cross referenced with google trends and a little common sense or course."

Very happy to see the Mamiya 6 not make the list! Maybe 2020 will be the year I can finally afford one

Title confusing since not all selections are 35mm cameras.
Most searched? Then why not title the article “Film Cameras with most internet searches”
Film cameras with the highest sales numbers must surely be the Fujifilm Instax cameras.

Its thirty-five different cameras, not necessarily 35mm. Confusing, yes, but he could just as likely chosen to list 25 of them or 40 instead of 35.

Yes, strange list.
"“Top” meant “popular” based on google search and click activity. We have built this list based on our own google ads data."
No wonder.
