I use Firefox with my pc and mac, along with Adblock.

I've noticed that advertisers now use Macromedia Flash Player to implant ads. Unfortunately, Adblock doesn't seem to be able to block this.

How do I get rid of or turn off Macromedia Flash Player? I can't seem to even find the program on my computers. Then again, I am a computer idiot. Help!

Thanks in advance.

I found another effective way. Go into Windows Control Panel/Software and simply remove Macromedia Flash. Works a treat. I'm not a fan of Flash on websites ... and that Apple ad on pnet was the last straw ...

I gave up completely on Photo.net after that ad. That and their overly aggressive deleting of posts. Some sites use flash tastefully though. You'd need it to visit James Nachtwey's site for example, or the Magnum in motion site. Being able to specify certain sites where Flash is allowed with Flashblock is quite useful.
