Traces of use

My M8 is away in Solms being upgraded and the nice volk at Leica sent me a receipt. Only thing is it lists the 'General condition of product' as 'Traces of use' - does this mean that I shouldn't have used it and just put it in a display case? At least that way no-one would have found out about magenta casts or green blobs.

Anyway, I love my M8 and can't wait to get it back and put more signs of use on it, it's got so much more soul than the DSLRs I use all the time.

It's not unusual for repair shops to record the condition of incoming products in great detail, to ensure that the desired work is done properly, to note if further work is needed, & to protect themselves from false claims of damage, etc. Plus Leica is probably accustomed to dealing w/some very picky customers who might complain if their cameras didn't come back perfectly clean, etc. So perhaps they just found some dust in the VF or something & want to make sure the repair guy takes care of it.
