I am possibly trading for a Bessa R and a 50mm Summitar 🙂 After my divorce :bang: my finances are low so I will probably get some Russian glass for now. Which ones are good and which will work on the R? 😕 I would like a 35mm and a 75 or 90, any suggestions.

The russian 35/2.8 Jupiter 12 is an excellent lens, but the rear element extends too far into the body to be used on a Bessa R. The CV Skopars would probably deliver the most "bang for the buck."

The only 75mm I know in LTM is the CV 75/2.5 Heliar.

In 85-90mm, there are more choices. The LTM 85/2 Jupiter 9 is nice, if you can get a good copy. The Leitz 90/4 Elmar is very good and can be had for less than $100.

if you can't find a used cv 35 then i would second the canon 35/2.8. it's a great lens, hi res, low contrast.
the cv 35 is hi res & hi contrast.

for 75 - 90, also from canon, the serenar 85/2 lens. super sharp, weighs a ton, built like a tank, kinda big but, surprisingly balances well on the little bessa. can be had for cheap if you are patient and watch ebay.
