This past year has seen most of the CLE related posts concerning faults and possible fixes being moved to general camera care and repair section. While I can certainly see the reasoning and logic behind this, in practice with a camera like the CLE it only has the end effect of separating questions from the most likely place they would be answered. I have been a member since the Rangefinder Forums inception but pretty much only active in the CL/CLE sections of it and my love of 40mm lenses. Many of the faults of the CLE are quirky and unique to this wonderful little camera that I feel need to be addressed close to where the main focus of CLE knowledge base is found on the forum. Given the sizable amount of posts are problem related seeking solutions, the forum has effectively been split into two. The age and limited popularity of the camera means that the forum isn't really flooded with posts even with everything combined. As a limited visitor to the CL/CLE section only (like many enthusiasts of these particular cameras) I have never sifted through the general camera care and repair section looking for CL/CLE related posts. Some of which may have attracted help utilizing the focus of this specific forum dedicated to them. I just respectfully feel that the special needs and limited knowledge base and appeal of these cameras that the community would be better served keeping everything about them in one place. By no means is this post meant as a confrontational post in any way or to generate bitter debate, its just some thoughts I hope would be helpful. Thanks for listening.
