Transferring Lightroom library from PC to Mac

I'm moving from PC to Mac, and will be wanting to transfer my Lightroom library...has anyone done this? Is it as simple as copying over all the folders and directing LR to find the library file? Any pitfalls?

No, it's not as simple as that. On the PC, with its letter-assigning wisdom, you'll run into walls.

I've never done anything like this cross-platform, but if I were you (and if you have enough disk space to do so), I'd export your entire Catalog with the "include negative files" option selected. Then you can do an Import on the Mac.

Are you using a removable hard drive for this? With enough room? I hope so.
