Yes, the Light L16 is a bit of an oddity. A fascinating concept, a reasonable implementation given the day of its design and building, and of course a dead-end hardware-wise since it was intended from the start as a technology demonstration for the company's multi-camera image integration algorithms rather than as the start of a line of equipment offerings. Light.co has gone on to good success in development and licensing their algorithms. The L16 is long discontinued and unsupported ... but it continues to function beautifully and produce lovely work for me.
As long as it continues to do so, I'm happy to have it as a part of my kit and use it. When it finally dies, it will become an honored shelf queen. 😉
