Payment is a backpack and $350 for a month's work???
I could do better traveling to trash bins and cashing in the aluminum cans. Thank you, but no thank you.
I looked them up at Glassdoor, and the 3 reviews were obvious shill, fluff reviews with no factual information whatsoever.

My thoughts exactly. Last time I drove to Santa Fe from Indiana, I spent $350 for gas to get there, one way. That's just gas for my car, no hotels, no food.
I think what they're looking for are wealthy people who travel a lot to take pics while doing the traveling they normally do anyway and basically give them the photos, since anyone wealthy enough to do that doesn't care they're being paid so little.

Exactly! Some folks need to think outside the box. $350, a backpack and whatever stipend they pay won't be enough to pay the mortgage, and if you are a pro with nothing else going on but this, then I truly feel for you. But if you are a pro who's already traveling, then it may or may not be worth it to see how much extra work this requires. The extra work may still not be worth $350, but then again... Wrt to Tortuga, the product is legit: I have one of their backpacks. But obviously I wouldn't know anything about actually working there.

That's $700 RT for gas alone. You could have flown for $260 RT plus $100 for a car rental for an entire week. About half the cost without having to spend 18 hours (x2) on the road.

If I has flown, I'd have defeated the whole purpose of the trip, which was to photograph things along the way.
It was worth the time and money.
